Choose the application first, then compare print width and production capacity. Standard stickers, foil effects, and embroidery-like transfers use different setups and consumables.
Not necessarily. A wider printer lets you arrange more small designs across the film, but it does not automatically make every order more economical.
For small batches, compare how efficiently your usual designs fit across the printable width. For repeat bulk orders, compare how many designs fit in each row and the output at your required print quality. Leave space for margins and gaps when planning your layout.
Use your typical design size and daily quantity—not order count alone. For example, 500 designs measuring 10 × 10 cm cover 5 m² before spacing and waste.
Compare printer output at the print mode you will actually use, then allow time for setup, lamination where required, maintenance, and handling. A 6-pass speed and an 8-pass speed are not a like-for-like comparison.
For the XF-450S or XF-600 standard sticker setup, the core consumables are CMYK, white and varnish inks, plus compatible A/B transfer film. You also need RIP software and the cleaning supplies specified for the machine.
Standard transfers onto suitable hard surfaces do not normally require a heat press. Check whether the selected configuration includes lamination and which starter consumables are included in the quotation.
Compare the XF-420ST and XF-600ST for metallic foil logos, premium packaging labels, and decorative bottle stickers.
These applications use a dedicated foil setup with compatible foil material and A/B film. Printing a gold-colored design with standard CMYK ink does not produce the same reflective metallic finish.
Do not assume the same setup is suitable for both. For bottles and other suitable hard surfaces, start with the XF-450S or XF-600 standard sticker solution.
For raised embroidery-like effects on clothing, hats, or bags, look at the XF-420S or XF-600S, with the matching embroidery transfer materials and heat-application process. Test the intended fabric and wash requirements before production.
